The Department of Scandinavian Languages has about 100 employees who conduct research and teaching on mainly the Swedish language, but also our Nordic neighborhood languages are studied. Both the older and the younger language courses are explored and the theoretical and methodological scope is also available.

 

Work assignments / Project description: Postgraduate education comprises four years and is financed through employment as a PhD student. The employment is five years old and includes employment at the department, which deals with education and administrative work (max 20%).

 

Qualification requirements: For employment as a PhD student, the holder is required or will be admitted to postgraduate education. Qualifying to be admitted to education at the research level in Nordic languages is the one that is partly basic and partly specific. Basic eligibility, the student who has passed a degree at advanced level, has completed at least 240 credits at least 60 credits, of which at least 60 credits at advanced level, or in some other way within or outside the country acquired essentially equivalent knowledge. The special qualifications are regulated in the general study plan for postgraduate education in Nordic languages (http://www.sprakvet.uu.se/forskning/forskarutbildning/ ).

  2. Curriculum vitae with registries that provide general and special qualifications for postgraduate education.
  3. Provided copies of diplomas.

  5. A dissertation plan (3-5 pages excl. References) describing the project that the applicant intends to implement.
