You teach a number of courses in the field of Swedish Linguistics and Language Management.

You are studying in the field of Swedish Linguistics.

You participate in the internal and external services of the Scandinavian department and the Department of Linguistics.

 

 

PROFILE

Knowledge / Experience

  • You have already completed high-level scientific research in Swedish Linguistics, as evidenced by publications in quality scientific journals and peer review books;
  • You are able to initiate and supervise scientific research and collect the necessary funds for this purpose;
  • You have didactic skills aimed at developing and realizing academic skills at university students; 

Stretch to recommendation:

  • International mobility for research institutions in research institutions outside the institution to which the highest academic degree was obtained;
  • Positively evaluated experience with provisioned and / or organized education at the academic level
  • Educational professionalization

Skills / attitudes

  • You are quality-oriented;
  • You are looking forward to an initiative;
  • You have excellent oral and written control of Swedish;
  • You have good organizational, interpersonal and communicative skills;
  • You can work well in a team.

 

 

Admission conditions

You are in possession of a doctor's degree in Ph.D. in Linguistics or Swedish Language Skills. When assessing a foreign (non-EU) diploma, an equivalence certificate can still be requested from NARIC;

You have at least two years postdoctoral experience on October 1, 2018.

 

 

APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

We offer you a temporary employment contract in a Tenure Track System for a term of five years. Upon a favorable assessment by the university board, the mandate will be converted into a permanent appointment in the degree of principal lecturer.

If you already work as a ZAP member or equivalent in another university or research institution, you can be appointed immediately in the degree of lecturer, without prejudice to the opportunity offered for a temporary appointment in Article V.28 of the Codex Higher Education.

Entry into service can take place from 1 October 2018 at the earliest.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

After the closing date, all applications received will be transferred to the faculty assessment committee compiled for this vacancy. This commission will initially assess the candidatures on file. The committee hereby reviews all the elements of the application file for the required expertise in the field of education, research and scientific services. Based on this consideration, a short list of relevant candidates will be drawn up which will be invited for further selection (interview, eventual presentation or test lesson). After that, the assessment committee will make an appointment of the appropriate candidates and submit it to the faculty council for advice. The advice of the faculty council will be proposed to the University Board for approval.

Candidates are asked to further explain their 5 academic achievements with the most impact. For example, the candidate can present, in addition to scientific publications, merit as knowledge transfer through scientific fulfillment, social valorisation, public awareness, seminars or presentations at conferences. These competencies are taken into account in the appraisal of candidates.

The assessment of the requested international mobility is broad and happens partly from a gender perspective, in addition to long-term stays abroad, other forms of internationalization are also charged.  

Pregnancy leave, long-term sick leave, parental leave, care leave or other absenteeism are charged when assessing the available time for the realization of scientific output.
