At the Department of Education and Social Sciences of the University of Münster, the Institute for Educational Science is offering a new one at the earliest possible date

 

W3 professorship for educational science 
with a focus on vocational education

 

to occupy. Within the Institute of Educational Science, the professorship is located in the field of school education / school and teaching research.

 

The future job holder represents the subject of vocational education in its entirety in research and teaching with a special focus on the health and technology sector. VET research is expected to show that applicants are both VET-educated and have visible contributions to the professionalisation of school and work-based educational staff. In addition, they should have expertise in the field of research on school practice. In addition, the successful acquisition of third-party funds is required.

 

Tasks in teaching include conducting courses in the modules of the Bachelor's and Master's programs for teaching at vocational colleges, which are offered in cooperation with the Institute for Vocational Teacher Training at the University of Münster, from the Institute for Educational Science of the University of Münster on vocational orientation in general and vocational teacher training courses. Other tasks include the coordination of inter-university teacher training as well as the curriculum development of teacher training courses. In this context, participation in the multidisciplinary "Quality Offensive Teacher Education" at EMU and participation in the regional VET network between higher education institutions, Schools and businesses expected. For this purpose, own school and practical experience is desirable. Further tasks include the supervision of students in practical phases (focus practical semester), the acceptance of examinations as well as participation in academic self-administration.

 

Requirements for the application are

  • a relevant above-average degree,
  • a relevant above-average promotion,
  • university didactic qualification as well
  • additional very good scientific achievements in the field of work described above acc. § 36 HG NRW.

 

It is expected that the doctorate or other scientific achievements in education were provided.
