A Research Associate /A Research Assistant (Postdoc / In)

Subject to the approval of the requested special research area 1385 "Law and Literature. Materiality, Comparativity, Constitutivity "in the requested subproject B04" Rhetorical strategies in Jewish and Islamic legal texts "under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Regina Grundmann to 01.07.2019 a job

 

to occupy. The post is for the duration of the requested first funding period of the Collaborative Research Center until 30 June 2023 limited. The regular working hours are currently 39 hours and 50 minutes a week. Job appointments are also made on a part-time basis, unless there are compelling business reasons in individual cases. The approval of the requested special research area will be decided on 22.05.2019.

 

 

The task area includes:

 

Collaboration in subproject B04

Independent research in research field B04.2a "Rhetoric strategies in Responsa of the 18th and 19th century"

Participation in the general events and participation in the forums of the proposed special research area

 

The activity as a research associate / researcher should also serve the further academic qualification (habilitation etc.).

 

Requirements:

 

Very good doctorate in Jewish Studies / Jewish Studies with a focus on Jewish Law

Expertise in the field of response research

Publications in the field of Jewish law, in particular to Responsa

Very good knowledge of classical rabbinic literature

Very good Hebrew skills

Interest in interdisciplinary cooperation, in particular interest in cooperation with the Islamic research area of subproject B04
