Lecturer or Associate Professor in Chinese Language


Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching in Chinese Language and to coordinate a large language programme? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a Russell Group University?


Joining East Asian Studies as a Lecturer or Associate Professor in Chinese Language, you will coordinate the Chinese language curriculum and carry out teaching that contributes to all levels of our existing undergraduate programme in Modern Chinese Studies. You will contribute to scholarship activity at local School/ Faculty level and will be actively involved in scholarship at national and/or international level. You will also contribute to the effective management of the School, Faculty, and wider University.


You will have considerable relevant language teaching experience and experience of coordinating a team of tutors in the creation of an integrated language programme. You will have an enthusiastic approach to teaching Chinese language and the ability to interact with students in ways that will enhance the student experience.
