The faculty of Education at the University of Oulu has the following task:


MORTGAGE EDUCATION , for the project "Supporting together - multidisciplinary and digital cooperation to support learning"


The assignment is for a fixed period from 1 January 2018 to 31 July 2020.


The University of Oulu is an international science community with 16,000 students and about 3,000 employees. The University's strengths include extensive multidisciplinary and contemporary research and learning environments, as well as close working relationships with international educational and research institutions.


Funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture Supported - multidisciplinary and digital cooperation to support learningThe project aims to implement a teacher training development program, to develop teacher training skills and to develop the contents of special teacher education. The project will be implemented between 1 September 2017 and 31 July 2020 as a national cooperation between universities. The project includes six Finnish teacher training units and a network of experts. International cooperation is also being carried out. The project measures include developing pedagogical counseling for special education teachers, trainee and pilot schools and teachers' professional skills, as well as developing strength-based pedagogy and interaction as an educational continuum. The project involves networking and provides interactive web material.


The doctoral dissertation tasks include: Making a doctoral dissertation related to the project, acquiring, analyzing and reporting the material during the project. The goal is to write one, preferably two articles together with the project partners. A doctoral student will also participate in a follow-up seminar. In addition, teaching may be 5% of the working time. Tasks also include co-operation with project actors such as participation in the implementation of training, development pilots and other events in the project.


job qualifications


The candidate is required to apply an appropriate degree in humanities, start a postgraduate degree and evidence of the researcher's capacity to support the project, as well as in-depth knowledge of interaction and consultation. Knowledge of the field of special education and past experience in educational development projects are considered to be of benefit. Managing the task in cooperation with the project network requires good cooperation skills and flexibility. The assignment can be filled 100% at work time or even part-time with an agreed percentage of between 40-100%. Please indicate in your application what kind of part of the task you wish to treat.


The remuneration is based on the demands level 2-4 of the teaching and research staff of the payroll system of the University. In addition, a payroll based on personal performance is paid, up to 46.3% of the salary per employee. The employment relationship is subject to a four-month probation period. The application must be accompanied, in addition to the aforementioned annexes, by a non-formal application, in which the applicant justifies his / her interest and qualifications. Attachments of the application:
