Visual Communication Design Lecturer



Lecturer teaches and coordinates bachelor and master level courses and participates in the design and development of the curriculum for visual communication design. Lecturer's duties include student guidance and assessment of theses and participation in student selection and administrative tasks of the degree program and / or institution. 20% of working time is available for personal artistic / design work. 

The assignment is for a fixed term until 31 December 2021. Begin by contract, as soon as possible.


applicant is required to have strong professional skills and experience in visual communication design and the various fields and tools of graphical design, the perception of theoretical discussions within the field, the experience of teaching / guidance, and the perception of developing the field. The applicant is required a Master's degree in a suitable field.


Applicants will be assessed on the basis of: portfolio, teaching skills, co-operation skills and activities in the professional, artistic or scientific community. All applicants are required to have a good Finnish and English language skills. 

Remuneration and working hours 

remuneration is based on the university pay system. The total working time of the teaching staff is 1624 hours per year. Start work as soon as possible. The location is for a fixed term and ends on December 31, 2021. Application Documents
