Full-time Research Assistant I/II in Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 201800537) (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); good organization skills, experience working with and collecting data from schools. Prior experience and familiarity with large scale data collection and survey studies are clear advantages. Applicants should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently.

 

The appointees will work on the project "Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship" (http://www.rss.hku.hk/links-resources/spotlight/trs-6th-round) funded by HKRGC under the Theme-Based Research Scheme. The project, led by Prof. Nancy Law of the Faculty of Education, aims to address research questions about the impact of digital media on human development and the everyday life of children and youths. They will take key administration and coordination responsibilities for data collection in the project, as well as in related research activities include contacting schools and making necessary organizational and administrative arrangements for data collection in schools and university settings, and provide support for data cleaning, preparation, analysis and other research duties as assigned. This position is beneficial to those who wish to pursue an academic career and have interest in pursuing further studies in the related areas.
