Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 201800) (to commence as soon as possible for 3 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)


Applicants should have a background in Education, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); strong interest in research and good communication skills. Prior work experience and familiarity with data collection and analysis in survey studies, or qualitative research methods are clear advantages. They should also be self-motivated, responsible and table to work independently.


The appointees will work on the project "Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship.” ( funded by HKRGC under the Theme-Based Research Scheme. The project, led by Professor Nancy Law of the Faculty of Education, aims to address research questions about the impact of digital media on human development and the everyday life of children and youths. A major part of the research project is to conduct survey and performance assessment of digital literacy and collaborative problem solving of students (primary to undergraduate) and surveys of teachers and principals in primary and secondary schools. They are to take part in different aspects of the research, including instrument translation, piloting, data collection, data cleaning, transcription and analysis. Appointees will be assigned responsibilities compatible with their qualifications, experience and interests.


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
