Research Fellow in Education


Are you an ambitious researcher with a track record in high-quality research on the education of young people? Do you want to further your research career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

 

Applications are invited for a Research Fellowship working under the Professor of Post-14 Education Policy and Curriculum, to undertake research in the education and training of young people during his period as Faculty Dean.

 

You will deal independently with a wide range of people and support existing research as well as conduct new primary research. You will also make a contribution to teaching activity in education at a variety of levels within the School of Education. Some travel within the United Kingdom and overnight stays will be involved and travel overseas may also be required.

 

You will have experience of researching and publishing internationally excellent research findings on the educational lives and experiences of young people and experience with high-quality empirical data collection and analysis.

 

You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will demonstrate an ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

 

As part of your application, please could you submit your best two publications which you would nominate for inclusion in REF2021. These should have been published since January 2014. One could be a draft that has been submitted or is close to submission.
