Position Description

The Department of Philosophy seeks applications for a lecturer in Philosophy. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1st, 2018. The lecturer will be responsible for teaching the equivalent of four undergraduate courses. We wish to hire someone able to teach at least one course on a topic of direct interest to a broad audience in the college. AOS and AOC open; candidates who are able to teach at least one course in value theory will be given preference.


The position is for one year.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate in Philosophy or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins.

Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is desired.
