Responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to): constructing, maintaining, and curating a corpus of public sources about cybersecurity issues; applying information retrieval and knowledge engineering tools to extract information form sources; building an ontology of concepts and relations from the extracted information; developing an interface for querying and accessing the information in the ontology. In addition, the postdoc will assist with general research in the areas of the grant, grant proposal preparation, writing papers and preparing conference presentations, leading lab discussion meetings, training graduate students in linguistics and computer science.

PhD in linguistics, computer science, or related discipline required. Degree in hand at the time of appointment (applications from students close to completing their degrees considered). Preferred familiarity with one or more of the following: OWL programming language, ontology construction, natural language processing, and information retrieval techniques.
