The
European Languages and Cultures (ETC) program is a multidisciplinary, intercultural and at the same time broad, dynamic and flexible bachelor's degree that is unique for the Netherlands. The program combines the learning of a modern Western language at a high level with academic training through the study and application of the most important theories and methodologies of literary and cultural studies, linguistics and / or politico-social cultures. These disciplines form the basis for the three socially oriented profiles that the program offers: Culture and Literature, Language and Society and Politics and Society. These three profiles are viewed from a European perspective, with the emphasis on modern times (1800 - present).
