Junior Professorship (W1) in Organisational Development in Education Technical University Dresden, Faculty of Education Germany

The Institute of Education at the Faculty of Education is seeking to fill the position of a

Junior Professorship (W1) in Organisational Development in Education

as soon as possible. The position will be offered as a 4-year contract. Provided that her or his
performance will be evaluated positively, employment may be extended to a total of 6 years.
The holder of the position will be involved in teaching and further developing the Master’s
programme “Continuing Education Research and Organisational Development”. The duties
include participation in academic self-administration. The skills for lecturing in the English
language are required. Proficiency of the German language is not a prerequisite for appointment.
However, we expect the successful candidate to acquire language skills sufficient to conduct
teaching and administrative tasks within two years after appointment.

The Faculty is in search of a dedicated person with a background in educational science who is
able to represent the issue of development, organisation and controlling of educational
institutions in the context of vocational education, higher education or adult and continuing
education. Moreover, initial experience in empirical research on organisational development as
well as in third party funding are mandatory. Applicants must fulfil the employment qualification
requirements of § 63 of the Act on the Autonomy of Institutions of Higher Education in the Free
State of Saxony (SächsHSFG).
