About the role

In this role you will contribute to the continued development of the School’s teaching and research in the area of Modern History. The role will focus on European history during the twentieth century, but more specifically in areas related to the Holocaust and / or to the history of Genocide. You will have a particular focus on delivering and contributing to modules in History in the undergraduate and taught postgraduate curricula, as well as the supervision of postgraduate researchers. You will work towards publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals and articles as well as playing an active role in the Stanley Burton Centre.

About you

With a PhD in History (or related field) you will have expertise in Modern European History. You will have the ability to initiate, develop and deliver high quality research, alongside a record of international peer-reviewed publications commensurate with career stage. The ability to plan, organise and deliver programmes of work is key, with a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching and pedagogical development.
