Kobe University invites applications for an Assistant professor of Linguistics. 

The Linguistics and Communication Studies Course focuses on issues surrounding intercultural communication. Its research and teaching involve comparative analyses of linguistic structures and language use, second language acquisition, translation studies, rhetoric, and teaching Japanese to speakers of other languages.

Candidates' research and teaching expertise can be in any of the following areas and should be related to linguistic expression in English, such as rhetoric, narratology, semantics, or pragmatics.
