Primary Job Duties: 

Responsibilities will include teaching courses in performance and related topics, such as acting, directing, text analysis, theater history, and voice and movement. This new faculty member will also direct at least one mainstage production per academic year with a corresponding course release. Additional responsibilities include mentorship and advising, and ongoing professional development and scholarly/creative activity and service to the department, school, and university (including recruitment activities).


Minimum Qualifications:

 MFA or PhD in Acting, Directing, or related field with a strong pedagogical background and demonstrated effective teaching and classroom management strategies that enhance the success of diverse learners.


Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those candidates who have the expertise to teach a range of the above-mentioned courses, and have significant experience or certification in one or more voice and/or movement specializations (such as Linklater, Alexander Technique, Laban, Clowning, LeCoq Technique, Neutral and Character Mask, Stage Combat, or Intimacy).
