The Carnegie Mellon University School of Music announces a tenure-track opening for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Piano.


POSITION & APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 9-month position at Assistant or Associate Professor (without tenure) level. This is a tenure-track position, with the appointment scheduled to begin as early as September 1, 2019.


RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate is to provide high-quality studio instruction to undergraduate and graduate students as assigned, coach chamber music as assigned, teach a sequence of courses on piano literature & repertoire, serve on audition, jury and university committees, and satisfy all other normal requirements of full-time faculty. The candidate is expected to continue to maintain a strong national or international professional profile as a performing and/or teaching artist, and is expected to be an effective recruiter.
