Job Description

It is a full-time post with teaching at the bachelor, master and post-graduate levels in the post-graduate theme, as well as the management of university master's and PhD theses.


The candidate will be called upon to develop national and international research in the field of the post and obtain external funding.


He / she will also be responsible for the management and organizational tasks within the Masters of Science and Technology in Learning and Training (MALTT), the Faculty and the University.

Title and skills required


Required Title: PhD in Educational Sciences, Psychology, Cognitive Sciences or equivalent qualification.


Desired skills:  Candidates will have a solid knowledge of the field of the job and in particular, the problem of the development of digital skills (literacy and digital literacy, computational thinking), the design of innovative digital training devices (such as open resources, learning community, digital manufacturing) and the study of new training and learning practices that accompany these devices. They will benefit from research experience supported by scientific publications, teaching experience in academia, and the ability to lead research teams, obtain funding and manage academic units.

Job description


DUTIES  : This position requires 120 or 180 teaching hours in Bachelor, Master and post-graduate programs in the field. The appointee will be conducting research and publishing findings in national and international journals and conferences. He / she is expected to apply for funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) or other national or international funding institutions. The appointee will also supervise research assistants, masters and doctoral students. The term is expected to be engaged in executive and managerial functions within the Faculty, particularly within the TECFA research and teaching unit. He / she is required to respond to the demands of the community, in relation to his or her domain (s) of expertise.

 

Qualification and profile : PhD in education, psychology, cognitive sciences or equivalent. Candidates should have a strong understanding and expertise in the field of educational technology and design of innovative interventions (such as open resources, community learning, digital makerspace) focused on developing digital skills and literacy the new forms of learning and training practices in the digital age.


The partnership will have a strong track records in the specific field, experience in teaching at university level, the ability to manage a research team and secure research funding, and strong connections and partnerships with international researchers and research networks
