Fixed term contract (20 contact hours per week) from 10th July – 20th September 2019.


Based on the campus of the University, Lancaster University International Study Centre (hereafter LUISC) prepares international students for entry onto their chosen courses at Lancaster University.


LUISC is seeking to appoint a number of dynamic and inspirational teachers to join their high performing team. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to teach on our UG and PG Pre-sessional Programmes, preparing international students for entry to UG and PG study at Lancaster University. In addition, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the course on which they teach.


Main duties will be: to develop materials and deliver student-centred lessons incorporating opportunities for developing independent learning skills; to provide learner support; to evaluate learning through a range of assessment methods, and to keep up to date records as required by LUISC. Applicants should hold an MA TESOL or equivalent and/ or DELTA with recent experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes. You will also be expected to have tutorial experience; working in both large and small group settings.  The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of learning technologies.


The Pre-sessional programmes are 20 contact hours per week spread across 5 days.
