Why Your Role Matters: The Head of School sits within Faculty leadership teams and plays a key role in the integration of the UNSW ADA2051 Foundational strategy, including academic excellence, social engagement & global impact within the School. The Head of School will lead the strategic direction, staff development and culture, research performance, student education experience and community engagement of the School. As Head of School, you will create and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture within the School and work closely with the Faculty Leadership team to promote and achieve shared goals. The role of Head of School reports to the Faculty Dean, Professor Claire Annesley. The academic staff of the School report to the Head of School who is supported by the School leadership team – including the School Manager, Deputy Heads of School, Discipline Convenors and Program Directors, and Academic Governance Committees. A continuing academic appointment is negotiable for a candidate with the relevant experience and background.
