Institute of Education Deadline: 03.05.2021 Duties and responsibilities Teaching courses and providing in-service training (including lectures, seminars, and practicums) at the first and second level of higher education studies in the field of teacher education and educational innovation. Also, provision of general pedagogical courses as well as courses related to the topic of culturally diverse school and classroom is expected. The teaching should be carried out using contemporary learning approaches and educational technologies. Teaching-related methodological, administrative and development work. Supervising students’ research work. Participation in research and development in the field of teacher education. Participation in the development and application of projects as well as in implementation of projects in the field. Collaboration with other units of the University of Tartu. Continuous professional development of skills for teaching and supervising. Popularizing the field of teacher education. Required qualifications Master's degree or an equivalent qualification. Required experience The candidate must be qualified to teach the subjects of their specialism as well as supervise students. In addition, he or she should have the readiness to do research and development work in the field. It is recommended that he or she has experience in research projects in the field of teacher education, teaching general pedagogical and multicultural education courses and/or conducting in-service training in the same field. Experience as a schoolteacher is considered an advantage. Required language skills Excellent command of English and Estonian.
