Grade 8: £43,884 - £51,769 per annum, Grade 9: £56,266 - £61,181 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities


The Slade School of Fine Art is an art school with a world leading reputation where staff and students approach the practice of contemporary art, and the history and theories that inform it, in an experimental, research-oriented and imaginative way.




We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Associate Professor in Fine Art who will lead the Graduate Painting area within the Slade. They will initiate the further development and understanding of fine art painting throughout the school and drive the vision for Graduate Painting.




This appointment is available from 1 September 2019.

Key Requirements


The successful candidate will be a practising artist operating at the highest level nationally and internationally, engaged with the practices and discourses of painting.




To appoint at grade 9 (Associate Professor), we would expect the candidate to have a significant international research profile as well as experience of holding a position of leadership in Higher Education.
