The Department of Art & Art History in the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Miami, is soliciting applications for a Full-Time Lecturer in Digital Photography, for the 2023-24 academic year, with a start date of August 15, 2023.
The position will require the successful faculty member to teach four courses per semester at the undergraduate level in Digital Photography. Candidates should be able to demonstrate expert knowledge in camera operation, editing in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop, and should be knowledgeable with the Adobe Suite of programs generally. Candidates with demonstrable knowledge of Capture One, Epson and Canon printers and printing software, Epson Scanners, experience with commercial lighting and strobe photography will be especially considered. As with all teaching positions, this appointment includes a minimum of one hour per week of office hours per course to meet with students. Minimum qualifications include an MFA in Studio Art; at least two years teaching/professional experience at the college level are required.
