Your New Role 

In this newly created role, you will undertake high-quality research of national and increasingly of international standing, secure external competitive funding, and effectively publish research findings. To meet and regularly exceed the University’s research performance expectations for an Academic Level B, you will deliver innovative and high-quality learning materials for blended, online, and/or face-to-face learning. Making an effective and sustained contribution to the School of Education’s strategic objective and operational responsibilities you will contribute to the development of innovative methodologies and pedagogies for teaching Digital Learning and Technologies Education in the Tasmanian context and assist with administrative tasks to support the operation of the School of Education.  

About the College 

The College of Arts, Law and Education (CALE) provides world-class research and teaching including undergraduate and postgraduate programs at campuses in Hobart, Launceston, and Cradle Coast (Burnie), and online. Each of the three campuses has recently, or is about to, move to new buildings and new centrally located campuses, each with state-of-the-art teaching and learning spaces. CALE’s mission is to develop the next generation of thinkers and professionals in education, social work, law, media, policing and justice, and the cultural and creative industries. What You’ll Need to Succeed 

As an effective communicator with a passion for Digital Technology, you will have a research-based doctorate in a relevant field. Your growing record of research will be demonstrated by quality publications. With an upward research trajectory, demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline will see you succeed in this role. Your ability to effectively engage with industry and the wider community will lead to success in securing external competitive and other funding.
