Posting Information Department: School of Education - 340100 Position SummaryThe School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in artificial intelligence in K-12 education, starting July 1, 2026. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-line or tenured appointment depending on rank at the time of hire. The purpose of this faculty search is to hire a dynamic scholar conducting cutting-edge, theory-grounded research in leveraging artificial intelligence techniques to design and implement tools and solutions that enhance K-12 learning, teaching, and/or administration. Candidates must have expertise in the development of machine learning and/or learning analytics solutions and experience translating that expertise into practical, useful, and scalable solutions for enhancing teaching, learning, and/or the administrative structures that facilitate K-12 education.
