Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; (ii) teach Family and Consumer Sciences courses focusing on Human Development, Family Studies, Early Childhood Development and Consumer Studies; (iii) Supervise undergraduate and graduate students’ research projects; (iv) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; (v) carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Department. Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies or Early Childhood Development and Family Studies or related area; (ii) (ii) Show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iv) Evidence of governance and social engagement will be added advantages. N.B. Applicants with a relevant Master’s Degree with a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Home Economics with at least 2(i) CGPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances Remuneration: University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
