Duties and responsibilities
  • Lecturing and conducting seminars (Speech Development in Preschool; Assessing Child Development in Special Education).
  • Coordinating and supervising students´ practices in collaboration with colleagues (Observation Practice; Practice in Remedial Teaching; Preservice Speech Therapy Training in Educational Institutions; Preschool Special Education Traineeship).
  • Supervising student´s research and masters exam.
  • Participating in research activities in collaboration with colleagues in the Department of Special Education and Speech Therapy and/or Institute of Education.
  • Research in the volume equivalent to at least 1/3 of a doctoral thesis in five years.
  • Professional development, incl. to enhance teaching and supervising skills.

Required qualifications
Master's degree in speech and language therapy or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience

Working experience as a speech and language therapist and/or special education teacher at kindergarten and/or basic school and/or rehabilitation system is required.

Required language skills
Excellent oral and written proficiency in Estonian. Good English skills are needed for communication in his/her field.

If the candidate has acquired the higher education in question abroad, he or she may be required to submit an assessment issued by the Academic Recognition Information Centre (the Estonian ENIC/NARIC) of his or her qualification in respect of the qualification requirements for the position.
