Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. We currently anticipate needs in sociocultural linguistics, particularly a general education course in language, race, and ethnicity, but we may also have needs related to other linguistic subfields and courses as well. Lecturers teach lower- and upper-division courses, including introductory and advanced Linguistics courses and, in some cases, graduate-level courses. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and/or service, as appropriate to the position. Master's Degree in Linguistics or a related field and at least one year of experience in teaching college-level linguistics courses. Preferred qualifications
