About You

The successful candidate should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Performance Studies or a cognate discipline and should hold an appropriate track-record of relevant research and/or professional practice. About the Department

Queen Mary’s Department of Drama is a leading centre for the study of theatre and performance, and was ranked as the top academic Drama department in the UK in REF 2014. Our research and teaching culture develops practical and theoretical knowledge about performance: its histories and how it intervenes in the present. We define performance capaciously and investigate how it can be used in different settings – theatres, galleries, schools, prisons, and the street – nationally and internationally.
