To provide cover for a secondment, the School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to develop and teach modules on German history since 1800 at every level.

 

The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in History, experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level. Experience in running modules independently is essential. The post-holder will take part in the care of students, assessment and admissions¿related activities.

 

This School will be appointing as either a Teaching and Scholarship or a Teaching and Research position. The Teaching and Research position would require not only teaching experience but also a publication profile that would make it possible for the successful candidate to submit outputs to the forthcoming REF. The Teaching and Scholarship position would not require the successful candidate to submit to the forthcoming REF but the teaching load would be adjusted accordingly.

 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
