Lecturer in Primary Education (University of Botswana)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Science Education in the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education. Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach Science Education courses to undergraduate and graduate students; (ii) supervise students on internship/teaching practice; (iii) supervise students’ research projects, theses and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels (iv) Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Department from time to time. Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a Doctoral degree in Science Education or related field; (ii) a Master’s degree in Science Education with specialisation in Physics. (iii) a Bachelor’s degree of Education with specialisation in Physics or Bachelor’s degree in Physics plus PDGE; (iv) evidence of engagement in research (v) social engagements and governance as well as teaching experience at university or comparable institution will be added advantages. Applicants with Master’s Degree in Science Education with specialisation in Physics with a Bachelor’s Degree of Education with specialisation in Physics or Bachelor’s degree in Physics plus PDGE of at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
