DescriptionThe Department of South Asian Languages & Civilizations invites applications for a part-time lecturer in the Urdu language program for the Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters of the 2023-24 academic year. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching Urdu language courses at the introductory, intermediate, and/or advanced levels. Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach up to three courses per academic year. In 2023–24, the per-course minimum salary is $7,538. This position is not benefits eligible. QualificationsMinimum qualifications are a master’s degree or equivalent in Urdu or a related field, advanced mid proficiency in Urdu according to ACTFL guidelines or equivalent language competency, and at least one year of experience teaching at the college or post-secondary level.
