About This Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for two Lecturer/Senior Lecturers in the field of Clinical Psychology.

As a Lecturer, you will work on growing your profile in teaching, research and service, and engagement in clinical psychology. You may coordinate/lead other staff and contribute to effective student supervision. You would be expected to achieve national recognition in your field of research.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will be leveraging your established record of achievement in teaching, research and service, and engagement in the field of clinical psychology. You will have an excellent track record of supervising students as a principal advisor and experience of leading staff. You would be expected to achieve national recognition and a developing international profile in your field of research.

This position is located in the School of Psychology at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will hold a PhD in a relevant area of clinical psychology and have full registration as a psychologist in Australia (or eligibility for such registration).

To be considered for a Lecturer (Level B) position, you will have a growing profile in teaching and research along with a developing reputation of publications in reputed journals. You will have evidence of securing research funding, and of producing a high level of teaching to a variety of students. A background in course administration, student supervision, and experience in internal service roles will be highly regarded.

In addition to the above, to be considered for the Senior Lecturer (Level C) position, you will have a growing international profile and established record of publications in reputed journals and presenting at conferences.

What We Can Offer

These are a full-time, continuing position at Academic Level B or C.

  • For Academic Level B, the base salary will be up to $118,206 pa, plus superannuation of up to 17%. The total package will be up to $138,301 pa.
  • For Academic Level C, the base salary will be up to $140,603 pa, plus superannuation of up to 17%. The total package will be up to $164,506 pa.
