The Provost Office at HBKU oversees academic priorities, including curriculum planning, student enrollment, admissions, and faculty affairs. Position Overview HBKU is seeking an Admissions Specialist to manage all operational aspects of the admissions process—from initial inquiry to student registration. The role involves strategic recruitment planning, data-driven process management, and collaboration with faculty and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans in collaboration with Deans and faculty to meet enrollment goals. Manage admissions operations, including inquiry tracking, application management, and use of technology to enhance admissions processes. Respond to applicant inquiries and gather user feedback to improve application systems. Enhance and maintain online admissions applications for all academic programs. Oversee admissions-related functions in Banner and the ARGOS reporting tool. Assist in reviewing and evaluating applications for admission to HBKU programs. Serve as a non-voting resource in admissions committee sessions, including interviews and applicant evaluation. Develop and implement evaluation rubrics in collaboration with Deans and committees to assess applicant admissibility. Contribute to continuous improvement of admissions policies and procedures. Create data-driven reports on prospects, applicants, and admitted students, including analysis and recommendations. Administer standardized tests (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, TOEFL) when required. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably at a selective, accredited university. Knowledge of Student Information Systems; experience with Banner preferred. Experience in data analysis and reporting; knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) is an advantage. Strong analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Arabic proficiency is an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Ability to support applicants efficiently throughout the admissions process. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders. Capacity to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a high-volume admissions cycle.
