Posting Summary

The Department of English at Rutgers University, which has a long history of scholarship and teaching in African American Literature and Literature of the African Diaspora, announces two Postdoctoral Associate Fellowships for scholars pursuing research in these fields.

The Postdoc Associate fellowship is for one year and includes a salary of $60,000, health benefits, and a $5,000 research stipend. The recipient will use the time afforded by the fellowship to pursue their current research and writing projects. Additionally, each Postdoc Associate will teach one course, participate in the intellectual life of the department, and may serve as an informal mentor to graduate students in the field. Applicants must have the doctorate in hand at the time of application and be no more than six years beyond the Ph.D.
