Postdoctoral Scholar at L3 (Language, Literacy, and Learning) Lab

We are seeking a qualified, highly motivated postdoctoral fellow in the School of Education at the University of California Irvine. The postdoctoral scholar will contribute to a federally funded project investigating the effect of literacy intervention called SRSD+, and will be responsible for managing the project (e.g., recruiting and working with schools, training and supervising research staff on project-related activities) as well as data analysis, and dissemination efforts. The projects are led by Dr. Young-Suk Kim in collaboration with colleagues (e.g., Dr. Karen Harris at Arizona State University).

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Education, Psychology, or Communication Disorders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge in language and literacy development 
• Knowledge and experience in school-based research

• Excellent data analysis skills
• Experience in working with linguistically, economically, and racially/economically diverse populations

The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable after the first year pending funding. Expected start date is August 15th, 2019. However, if necessary, modifications are possible.
