W2 professorship "Fachdidaktik Kunst" (m / w / d)

The person to be appointed should represent the area "Fachdidaktik Kunst" in particular in the study program "teacher training at elementary schools" with the degree "Erste Staatsprüfung" in full width in research and teaching.


Research should focus on at least one of the following areas: art education, creativity research, the theory and practice of visual art, or pictorial reproduction and reception.


The activity involves close cooperation with the specialist representatives of the specialist areas at the Center for Teacher Education of the Chemnitz University of Technology. In addition to this, the organization of the teaching offer, including the coordination of cooperations with internal and external partners, as well as the active participation in the further development of the study program as well as the supervision of the school practical studies belong to the tasks of the service. Other duties include the administration of the connected specialist rooms and the acceptance of exam examinations.

  • Activities and experiences in the field of research (ability and willingness to attract third-party funds, strong publications and lectures, promotion of young scientists),
  • Activities and experiences in the field of teaching (including the ability and willingness to take courses in English),

The conditions for appointment arise from § 58 SächsHSFG. The additional scientific achievements required for the post are to be proven by a junior professorship, by a habilitation or by an equivalent scientific activity.
