Ref.: 501788 Work type: Hourly-paid Department: Faculty of Education (10000) Categories: Research Support Staff Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 501788) (to commence as soon as possible thereafter for three months, with the possibility of renewal) The Reading and Learning Lab (RL Lab) is recruiting Research Assistants to collect brain EEG data. RL lab is a neuroscience laboratory with focused research on how the brain signals reflect the neural cognitive processes underlying reading and learning. Brain EEG data is the electrical signals collected from the scalp in a non-harmful way. The collected signals are correlated with the brain’s cognitive activities. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, with an excellent command of spoken English and Mandarin. The appointee will assist in collecting brain EEG data from human participants. He/She will be responsible for scheduling with participants, collecting EEG data, and cleaning up the lab equipment after data collection. Training will be provided. Those who are interested in learning and doing cognitive research may be provided the opportunities to participate in research.
