of a Research Associate (m / w / d) (100%, TV-L E 13)

to occupy.

 

The position is assigned to the professorship of Modern Art History (Prof. Dr. Johannes Grave). As part of a team you participate in teaching and research in the activities of the newly appointed Chair of Modern Art History, which also includes the Research Center European Romanticism. They support the professorship in the conception and execution of projects on European art in the 18th and 19th centuries as well as on material-related, collection-based art historical research.

 

Your tasks:

A focal point of the activity is the independent execution of courses on modern art history and the participation in the acceptance of examinations.
Another focus is independent research on a topic of modern art history, which can be combined with the goal of further qualification (habilitation). Of particular interest are issues that relate to the research priorities of the professorship.
Other tasks include participation in academic self-administration and student guidance.
Furthermore, participation in the preparation of research and exhibition projects of the professorship is expected.


Our requirements:

Expected is a completed academic studies and a particularly qualified doctorate in art history or in a neighboring discipline of visual science.
A deeper interest in theoretical questions of art history is desired.
Of particular interest is a research focus in one of the following topics: Romanticism, art around 1800, research on drawings and / or prints, cooperation with museums and / or restoration.
