RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
FOR THE RESEARCH UNIT "Data Linking"
- SALARY LEVEL 13 TV-L -


The position in accordance with Section 28 subsection 3 of the Hamburg higher education act
(Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG) commences on 1 September 2019.
This is a fixed-term contract in accordance with Section 2 of the academic fixed-term labor contract act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG). The term is fixed until 31.12.2025. The
position calls for 39 hours per week.


Responsibilities:
Duties primarily include research. Research associates may also pursue independent research
and further academic qualifications.


Specific Duties:
Research in the frame of the Research Unit “Data Linking”. The aim of the Research Unit is
research on problems in data management, data origin, organization of data and trusted data
and the coordination of data management and data provision within the Cluster.


Requirements:
A university degree in a relevant field. Preferred is a degree in computer science or similar qualification. Doctorate desirable. The position requires a good knowledge of e.g. Python, Docker and
FLASK, experience in project management, as well as fluency in English, written and spoken.
