At the Faculty 08 of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, at the Seminary for Latin Philology of the Middle Ages and the Modern Age (Assignment Prof. Dr. Karl Enenkel), the position is on 1. 10. 2019

 

to occupy at least 65% of the regular weekly working time for a period of 3 years.

 

The position is located in a third-party funded project, which is jointly carried out by the Universities of Münster and Göttingen. The literary research project explores the early modern, primarily in Latin language written travel instructions or travel treatises ( Artes apodemicae ), which have been used to prepare academic educational trips and cavalier tours .

 

The position advertised here (at the Münster site) is used for the preparation of an analytical monograph, which can be submitted as a dissertation in the field of Latin Philology of the Middle Ages and Modern Times after completion of the project .

 

The prerequisite for this is an above-average academic grade with a high academic grade in one of the following programs: Classical Philology (with a focus on Latin), Latin Philology of the Middle Ages and Modern Era, or Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies (with a focus on Latin). Applicants may also apply if they have not yet completed their studies but have completed their studies in good time before their appointment.
