In Faculty 2 (Faculty of Catholic Theology), Seminar for Liturgical Science (Prof. Dr. Clemens Leonhard), the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster is on 01. October 2019 


to fill with 75% of the regular working time. The working time is currently 29 hours 53 minutes a week. The teaching commitment is 3 hours. The position is initially limited to three years. There is the possibility of an extension. The possibility to prepare a dissertation (or work on a habilitation thesis) in liturgical science at the seminar is given.




Participation in and independent execution of seminars and exercises

Counseling and scientific support for students regarding the preparation of seminar papers and papers, the examination work and the exam preparation

Literature acquisition and supervision of the seminar library

Collaboration on publications, research projects and scientific events of the seminar at home and abroad

Administration of the website of the seminar and the Münster e-learning platform

Representation of the seminar location at national and international conferences



Degree in Catholic theology with a focus on liturgical science

Ability to teach independently

Knowledge of modern languages, especially English

Knowledge of classical languages (knowledge of Hebrew is desired)

profound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as Adobe Acrobat, in particular the ability to implement layout specifications of publishers and the creation of print templates (basic knowledge of HTML and the use of Oxygen are desired)

good teamwork


Applicants who have successfully completed a doctorate have the option to increase their vacancy to 100% of regular working hours (39 hours and 50 minutes). In this case, the teaching commitment is 4 hours.
