Position Description

 

DRAM 320 Introduction to Lighting Design

 

Current Offering:

 

Winter 2020 LAB B01 Mon 3:00-4:50 p.m., SEM S01 Mon 1:00-2:50 p.m.

 

Sessional hired at 1.0 HCE

 

Course Description:

Basic principles of lighting for live performances including conceptualization of the lighting approach, techniques in communication and skills in execution of a performance.

Course Hours: 3 units; H(2S-2)

Corerequisite(s): Drama 319

Antirequisite(s): Credit for Drama 320 and 315 will not be allowed.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

    Master's degree in Drama and/or equivalent professional experience in theatre

    Significant teaching experience and demonstrated ability to deliver Lighting Design curriculum that blends creative and critical approaches at the post-secondary level
