University professorship for educational science with a focus on institutions in the educational system Grade: W3 or equivalent Employment status: 12-40 / 2019

Responsibilities :

Representation of educational science in research and teaching; The professorship has an educational orientation and, with its focus on "Institutions in the Education and Training System", combines the different educational and educational sciences, focus on school and extracurricular education and training priorities of the science unit Educational science and primary education.

According to § 100 BerlHG

 

Further requirements:

  • Research focus in one or more of the following areas: "Institutional cooperation in the field of school and extracurricular education", "Education policy / administration", "Educational networks / Community education".
  • Compatibility with social or political science research perspectives
  • methodological focus on qualitative research or mixed-methods
  • International teaching experience and excellent research activities
  • Experience in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funded projects

 

Expectations for the future activity:

In addition to the official duties resulting from § 99 BerlHG in particular, the following activities are also expected of the person appointed:

 

  • Initiation of research projects
  • Participation in or development of collaborative research activities of the department
  • focus on the teaching of the Bachelor's program in Education and Educational Science as well as in the Master's Degree Program in Educational Sciences and, if necessary, in the Educational Science Modules in Teacher Training; Participation in the further development of these courses
  • Consideration of gender-relevant and diversity approaches in research that are relevant for the discipline
  • gender-sensitive performance of courses
