UCLA Writing Programs seeks lecturers to teach a range of writing and second-language writing courses that serve a diverse student body. We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, academic and/or creative work, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity, student success, and higher education access.


We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
• Experience teaching first-year composition at a major research university.
• Experience teaching ESL and/or have a strong academic background in addressing the specific linguistic needs of multilingual writers.
• Experience teaching courses that investigate difference and diversity through writing and rhetoric.
• A demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching pedagogy.


We also welcome candidates with professional writing expertise in areas that include, but are not limited to, business, science, technology, digital writing and multimedia, and the arts and non-profits.
